Adaptational Jerkass: While Dimentio was by no means a nice guy in the original game, he still mostly covered his bastardly personality through his sheer charisma. While Dimentio does still display his Faux Affably Evil traits, he is shown to be much more cruel here, manipulating and psychologically abusing Luigi to continue having him on his side and eventually breaking him to the point where he takes control over his entire body. It gets even worse when he forces Luigi to watch as he nearly kills Mario using his body, and goes on to blame Mario for Luigi's death. |
