Disqualification-Induced Victory: Turns out Norm knew Cosmo and Wanda would win Fairy Idol, so he plotted a failsafe by setting off a booby trap and trapping them in a butterfly net, rendering them useless against it and getting hit. This leaves Norm, who is in second, to win by default.

Paper-Thin Disguise: To sneak past Jorgen without letting him know he didn't wipe his memory, Timmy disguises himself as Mr. Crocker. Even though Timmy is much shorter due to being a child and does nothing about his distinctive overbite, it fools Jorgen and the stagehand, and also Cosmo and Wanda briefly.

Wrong Song Gag: When Jorgen Von Strangle is preparing to take away everything Timmy has ever wished for due to his fairy god parents quitting their job, he tells Binky play more ominous music on a boombox, track seven specifically. Binky plays "Pop Goes the Weasel" instead, prompting Jorgen to yell "I SAID TRACK SEVEN!" This gag is repeated near the end of the special when Jorgen is about to once again take away Timmy's wishes and fairy god parent memories due to his new fairy god parent, Norm the "Genie", quitting before setting everything back to normal. A different but also silly piece of music plays before Jorgen makes his entrance, causing him to once again demand that Binky play track seven.

Oh, Crap!: There are many instances of a character freaking out upon realizing they're in big trouble. Timmy when he finds out Cosmo and Wanda quit and Jorgen is coming to wipe his memory. Timmy again after Cosmo and Wanda leave upon retaining his memory. Cosmo and Wanda when Norm traps them in a butterfly net and they cannot prevent themselves against a booby trap. Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda in unison when Norm accidentally spills he tricked them into quitting. Timmy a third time when Jorgen wipes his mind for real. Norm when Jorgen revokes him back to a genie after he quits. Norm again when Chester bursts out of the closet, having heard everything.

Evil Knockoff: Norm creates a clone of Timmy under the pretense that the clone can spend time with Cosmo and Wanda while the real one can have the day to himself.
