Miles Gloriosus: Two examples stand out here: Mr. Uppity and Little Miss Trouble in Mr. Brave Goes Ghost-Hunting terrorise Mr. Worry by pretending to be ghosts. When they see the "real ghost", they run for their lives. Mr. Clever's Daft Bet features Mr. Clever confidently promising that he'll skydive if Little Miss Fun and Mr. Jelly spend an entire night in a tent. The thought immediately terrifies him and he spends half the night trying to sabotage the pair so he won’t have to do it.

Mr. Men and Little Miss / int_32da91b8 | comment |
Out of Focus: Many characters get this, but two of the strangest ones in this are Mr. Tickle and Mr. Happy. While they do play supporting roles in a few episodes and each of them get one episode in the limelight, they don't really get that much time in the spotlight and mostly appear in cameos. Mr. Tickle didn't even get any speaking roles until his spotlight episode.

Vocal Dissonance | |
Mr. Men and Little Miss / int_3a88a563 | comment |
Vocal Dissonance: Even more so in the 1997 American dub than in the original British dub, despite being more identifiable. For example, most of them sound okay, annoying and/or unfitting for his/her character. Mr. Perfect's voice is high-pitched and nasally, Little Miss Splendid sounds less snobbish, Mr. Clumsy's voice sounds fairly similar to Ed Wynn, and the narrator has the voice of a stereotypical game show host.

The few times he actually said "thank you." Despite struggling to do so in ''That's Gratitude, Mr. Uppity'', he managed to actually say thank you, much to the shock of his friends when he was hospitalized; despite being mean to Little Miss Shy, Mr. Bump, and Mr. Clumsy in Mr. Impossible's Lesson, he thanks them for preventing his house from burning down, much to their shock. Many fans may find it even more surprising that he even actually said "thank you" to Mr. Wrong without a problem in A New House for Mr. Wrong despite making fun of the latter's house.

From Bad to Worse: In An Invitation for Mr. Messy, Little Miss Scatterbrain invites Mr. Messy and Little Miss Neat to her house. First Mr. Messy tests the temperature for the milk for the tea with his finger, then he stains or smushes all the sweets/candy and pastries trying to find the one he likes the most, and then he accidentally kicks a jar of jam that spills all over Little Miss Neat, much to her horror. After that, he tries to help scoop the jam back in the jar, but ends up soiling her even further, and finally, as she's leaving, he kisses her goodbye, prompting poor Little Miss Neat to run out the door in fear.

Guilt-Induced Nightmare: In A Big Surprise for Mr. Mean, Little Miss Sunshine has a cold on Christmas Eve. Mr. Mean initially refuses to take care of her (though the look on his face suggests that he feels sorry for her when he hears her sneezing) because it's too cold out and he's not being paid for it. He dreams that he meets a wizard showing him what will happen tomorrow if no one comes to help Little Miss Sunshine; she'll end up all alone on Christmas. Art Evolution
Mr. Men and Little Miss / int_e43c66bd | comment |
Art Evolution: The pilot episode Little Miss Splendid's Gift and the first few episodes of Season 1 (except for The Joke is on Little Miss Naughty) had cruder animation and art style. Starting with Little Miss Busy Takes a Break, the animation and art style was a little more refined and fluid. This is justified in Little Miss Splendid's Gift because it was the pilot episode and was released about thirteen months before the series made its official debut. Not to mention that it was the only traditionally cel animated episode, which may explain why the art style and animation was at its crudest in that episode. They switched to digital ink and paint a year later when the series officially debuted.

Pet the Dog: A few from Mr. Mean: Mr. Mean bringing Little Miss Tidy's lottery back to her without even needing prompting in spite of initially being tempted to keep it in Little Miss Tidy And The Winning Ticket. He also shared his money with the rest of the Mr. Men And Little Miss as a way of thanking them for fixing up his house in Mr. Mean Hasn't A Penny Left. He's initially reluctant to go and take care of a sick Little Miss Sunshine at Christmas time in A Big Surprise For Mr. Mean. He later has a change of heart when a wizard shows him how sick she is and immediately goes to take care of her. Little Miss Naughty apologizing to Farmer Fields for wrecking his potato stand in Thank Goodness For Mr. Slow. A rather twisted one from Mr. Mischief and Little Miss Trouble in Little Miss Greedy... Belle Of The Ball. They both scare Little Miss Greedy out of her wits to help her lose weight. A couple from Mr. Uppity as well: The few times he actually said "thank you." Despite struggling to do so in ''That's Gratitude, Mr. Mr. Uppity actually showing concern for Mr. Happy when the latter falls into a depression after hearing about the miserable predicaments his friends (namely Little Miss Greedy, Mr. Jelly, and Little Miss Neat) had in A Very Happy Day for Mr. Happy. He even calls him his "friend."
