Cool Old Guy | |
Brit (Comic Book) / int_17501df2 | comment |
Cool Old Guy: Brit is easily one of the oldest human characters in the setting, and fits the definition of being a cool old guy: he is viewed as reliable by most heroes and led the second version of the Guardians of the Globe.

Death of the Hypotenuse: The third one-shot shows the death of Brit's ex-wife, Susan, during the alien invasion that took place in Invincible #16. It should be noted previously to this, Brit had told Jessica he didn't have romantic feelings for Susan anymore, but Jessica was still jealous.

Shirtless Scene: Since he's Nigh Invulnerable but wears ordinary clothing, Brit is usually stripped naked by energy blasts about halfway through his fights. He has no Super-Strength or special abilities other than indestructibility — but when you can strap a nuclear device to your back and drop into enemy territory to detonate it, who needs super-strength?

Super-Toughness: Being completely invulnerable is Brit's sole power, to the point that one mission consists of strapping a nuclear bomb to his chest, setting it off to kill the superpowered henchmen of a villain, and then taking a beating from the guy until his enemy is completely exhausted.

Stone Wall: Brit is an average-sized man of about 60 who is completely invulnerable to harm, thanks to a serum created by his father. Unlike many other invulnerable characters in the setting, he has no other abilities, having the strength of a 60-ish-year-old man who works out.note Averted in Guardians of the Globe, in which he is given rocket boots (for flight) and rocket gloves (to punch harder).
