Adaptational Context Change: Marcy calls out King Andrias for blowing up Toad Tower as in canon. Since here she was in on his plan, instead of answering with I Lied, he responds with pointing out their plan won't work if her friends stand in their way, not believing they would join them in their Evil Plan. Marcy's confession like in "True Colors" mostly follows the reasoning and background of canon. Her famous desperate statement comes at the end of a confession that she knew what the music box was capable of beforehand. While that is still the case in the fanfic, but while there it was the desperate, guilty plea about how she didn't want to lose her 2 best friends, here it comes at the end of the added delusional, self-centered ramblings where she's trying to convince Anne that they can join together and conquer Earth, and that coming to Amphibia was destiny. King Andrias still stabs Marcy, but instead of doing it intentionally like in canon, here it was an accident. He tried to stab Sasha, who was right next to Marcy, only for her to dodge out of the way. | |
