It is a sequel to Unbreakable Diamond, Protean Rain, and is an Alternate Universe retelling of Golden Wind.The story follows Olivia Zeppeli, a young woman who was separated from her parents when younger, and lived with a guardian for two years before moving to Naples in search of her Disappeared Dad after getting word that he lives in the city. The influence of gangsters made it hard for her to get by with money, leading her to despise them for it. Despite that, joining their ranks is part of her misson to find her father. However, she would soon have a fateful encounter with Giorno Giovanna, and learn about the dream he carries. Unbeknowst to her, however. The Zeppeli name isn't exactly a good one among veteran gangsters, which serves as one of multiple mysteries to be faced as she follows Giorno.This entry is notably Darker and Edgier unlike its predecessors, as it has a mature rating on Archive of Our Own. The author strongly recommends reading Star-Crossed Crusaders and Unbreakable Diamond, Protean Rain before reading this one, as several things established in both stories finally come together here as shown by various chapters in this fanfiction.The fanfiction was first published on February 4th, 2021, and is currently on an indefinite hiatus. Below are some examples: The scenes leading up to the Sleeping Slaves arc are shown in chronological order, and the arc itself happens off-screen. Bruno brings Olivia along with him for his interrogation of Giorno, which leads to her being present for the fight, as well as some differences in the fight and aftermath. Olivia decides to assist Giorno in secret with the lighter, which leads to her being a part of the encounter with Black Sabbath. Josuke and Fubuki are also sent to Italy by Jotaro, although unbeknowst to Hitomi and Koichi. Their objective was to keep an eye on Hitomi since Jotaro suspected her reason for going was to exact revenge on Burro. However, Josuke does get to meet Giorno during his time in Italy. Trish's introduction plays out with some differences, mainly how Olivia is the one who ends up going up to her instead of Narancia due to Olivia moving up to Trish quicker. As a result, she's the one who gets a surprise attack, which is a judo throw instead of what happened to Narancia in canon. Nearly every fight against members of the Hitman Team significantly differ due to the involvement of Missione Boschetto. The Beach Boy and Grateful Dead and White Album arcs have the largest amount of changes. Bruno, Mista, and Narancia even get an original fight against one of the Missione Boschetto members while the rest are fighting Illuso. Chapter 20 has Setteveli replacing the marble inside the ornate key with a different one, which adds a darkness filled room inside Mr. President. It seems to be dangerous as a mirror tossed into it disappears with no impact, for example. Naturally, Buccellati and his team generally choose to avoid it. Chapter 22 has a more humorous example: Fugo's Accidental Pervert moment plays out differently, with Olivia actually causing the swerve that made Fugo fall into Trish with her Stand's ability. Next, she uses a black puzzle piece on Mista's belt...which destroys it, exposing his boxers. Hilarity Ensues as this actually causes Trish to freak out and start throwing books at Fugo and Mista. In chapter 33, Bruno sneaks Olivia into the church with him, leading to some differences before he escapes with Trish and Olivia. During the Clash and Talking Head arc, Squalo is (seemingly) finished off by Mista instead, much to Narancia's annoyance. However, soon after that, Squalo is revealed to have survived the attack and goes after Buccellati's team one last time, allowing Narancia to finish him off like he did in canon. It's then revealed that Squalo's attack was planned as a Suicide Attack, as his boat explodes after he's killed. Because he destroyed the Heroes' boat, this leads to another deviation in the plot where the group heads for Air Supplena Island to hide. Chapter 38 has a very big one in the form of the rest of Bruno's men learning the truth about Luca's death and how Buccellati met Giorno thanks to an outburst by Olivia. The team overall seems to take it well for the most part despite the ensuing commotion.

In Chapter 35, Olivia eagerly comes up with names for the turtle and its Stand, which happen to be the same as the official names (Coco Jumbo and Mr. President). Conversely, Olivia has no idea she's talking to members of her family when she meets Fubuki and then Hitomi, and Giorno has no idea he has distant relatives in the form of the Joestars (which Josuke and Fubuki know, but they weren't allowed to tell Giorno that on Jotaro's request). Additionally, Hitomi has no idea Olivia is the same girl she saved during the wedding massacre. She doesn't realize it until later, which is after the two groups parted ways. By chapter 25, Mr. Dieci is almost completely unaware of two possible dangers: Vino, who wants revenge on him for killing his father, and Hol Horse, who doesn't know that Dieci is Olivia's father and thinks he wants her dead, and only alerted him because Hol Horse tried to shoot his hallucination of Dio. It's not helped that neither him or his subordinate Donato are Stand users, meaning they'd be near defenseless if the worst happens. In chapter 31, after learning about Pomodora Natale from interrogating Chorogi, Bruno recalls the Zeppeli's history with the Natale Gang, and mentions that it's sort of comforting Olivia doesn't know the full history of it aside from how her father once worked for them. What they all don't know is that Olivia did hear some of it two arcs prior by overhearing Prosciutto. This is addressed in chapter 37. Bucellati's stance of having withheld info about what he know about Olivia's father's whereabouts and why he hasn't searched for her ends up stinging when chapter 25's ending shows that he's actually looking for her as well ever since he found the other half of Olivia's photo. Chapter 38 has multiple harsh ones. First, Olivia only detaching one of her eyes with her Stand to spy on Bruno and Trish causes her to miss something important in their conversation that might have mitigated part of her anger at Bruno. As a result, she only sees their embrace without the context. Then, Giorno reveals he never actually sold Olivia's wallet. While it was because he was impressed with Olivia's foresight, it doesn't help the emotions going through her head about him and Mista already, which they are unaware about. Then, after her Internal Reveal, she runs off after spotting Fugo, but everyone else thinks she simply ran away, possibly giving the wrong message to the group.
