Another, more pragmatic reason to reject therapy, is because he'd need to reveal he was born Quirkless (as this was the reason why he was bullied and mistreated) and this would also reveal how he got One For All. Momo and All Might still insist that, if he doesn't start improving, they'll make him see a therapist. Averted with Bakugo; in Chapter 50, after seeing how his Heel Realization is affecting him, Mitzuki tells her son that he'll take therapy. He grunts at the idea yet doesn't argue about it. | |

However, he knows that all the students have played an important role in the case so far, and getting them out would be unfair and disrespectful of their abilities as heroes in training, plus he knows that if Izuku has to decide between To Be Lawful or Good, he'll choose Good every time, so he'd get involved anyway. He decides to let the students continue being involved after a serious talk with Izuku, realizing that he's fully aware of the possible consequences and taking responsibility for them. | |
