The Gargoyle Order: refused to make fake copies of Frankenstein's notebook, rip out the important pages or, you know, just destroy the book altogether. Later on, as demons assaulted the cathedral, the gargoyle, who are obviously defending, start chasing the demons and leave their home defenseless. Dr. Wade (and her co-worker): refused to scan and preserve a centuries-old notebook and work on the digitized version. Instead they insist on flapping the pages around like schoolkids. In their defence, they may have been intending to pick out the important parts and then scan it for later use. After Wessex's true identity is revealed, instead of just telling her co-worker to escape, Terra agrees to meet him alone. Bonus point for Adam, who lets her go while the audience groans. | |

Every demon that has been descended previously in the film has left a small hole, which appears to be bottomless. Naberius is A) the most powerful demon we have seen descended so far, B) in the act of opening a giant gateway to hell (it's where the possessing demons are coming from), and C) descending Naberius also descends all the demons he was summoning, which number at least a couple hundred. Put it all together, and a massive gaping hole eating the entire building makes perfect sense. | |
