Paranormal investigation organization OSC is clearly an Expy of the SCP Foundation. OSC chief Sir John Covenant from the short story makes martinis with a quinine-flavored aperitif, just like a certain other British secret agent whose first name starts with "J" and whose surname is a near-synonym of "covenant." At one point, Holly refers to last Lemurian Silvertail as "Virgil." When an adversary asks Holy Aura, "What do you want?" she automatically replies, "Never ask me that." As might be expected in a work making such frequent references to memes, characters often refer to tropes by name in their dialogue (such as "Jackass Genie"). | |
