A photoshoot is usually intended for the model/performer/etc. to be captured in a flattering manner for publicity and promotional purposes. However, if the photographer or whoever is commissioning the shoot has unsavory motives, things can get problematic. The subject(s) may be asked to do something they're not comfortable with, such as showing a lot of skin and/or posing provocatively, or may be put into situations that are morally or ethically problematic, or simply violate their mental/emotional well-being. Things could escalate to the point that the subject is manipulated or coerced into sexual acts, or at least propositioned to. Whatever the case, this is often traumatic for the subject, both in the moment and in the future should there be fallout from the photos being made public, such as Slut-Shaming or being considered Defiled Forever. This can also extend to media such as film and art, as the people behind the camera or creating the art can do the same kinds of things to the subjects of those media. Can be a potent source of Fan Disservice depending on the circumstances and what actually happens. Related to: Model Scam, which has overlap but is a con job from the get-go while this is a legitimate shoot that goes wrong. Casting Couch, where the goal is to get the subject to have sex with someone in order to land a job. Revenge Porn Blackmail, which can overlap if the scammer attempts to use the photos for blackmail.
