Diaura (ディオーラ Dioura), stylized as either DIAURA or Di-aura, is a four-member Visual Kei band from Tokyo which blends sounds of metalcore, alternative metal, heavy metal and hard rock. Formed at the end of 2010 by ex-Valluna vocalist yo-ka, guitarist Kei and drummer Yuu, who were later joined by bassist Shoya, the band quickly developed a cult following due to their vaguely militaristic concept (the name of the band is short for Dictatorial Aura) and dark aesthetics that appealed to both old-school Visual Kei aficionados and younger fans desperate for an alternative to the then-inescapable wave of garishly-colored, pop-oriented oshare bands.In May 2012, just two months following the release of their first album, "GENESIS", Yuu left due to tendinitis and was replaced by Tatsuya, drummer of session band Ronove and long-time friend of Shoya's. Tatsuya remained a support drummer for about a year before becoming an official member shortly before the release of the single SIRIUS/Lily.Formed under the now-defunct record label Galaxy Inc., Diaura later moved to Ains, then recorded FOCUS with blowgrow (a quasi-major label also home to the bands Angelo and Penicilin) and is now signed to Ains. | |

However, before the band's first oneman, he wrote a very angry post, then wrote another one on the next day. During the oneman, yo-ka was distant, as if he wanted nothing to do with the fans. It was everything but a spur-of-the-moment thing. The reason he did this? Fans were bullying eachother and even criticized Diaura itself for not being enough like Valluna. Among some of the things yo-ka wrote on his blog were "I can't ask a large group of humans to love eachother, but I at least expect you to act like civil adults.'' and "How long are you going to drag Valluna behind you?!"). | |
