Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle is a 2D Beat 'em Up developed by Bamtang Games and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment in 2017 for the Playstation 4 and X Box One.One day, six mysterious towers suddenly appeared in Angel Grove. Five ordinary teenagers, Jason, Zack, Billy, Trini, and Kimberly, also known as the Power Rangers, investigate the towers, only to find Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa responsible for everything. Now, the mighty teens must combine their powers in order to defeat the evil titans once and for all!Gameplay was primarily inspired by the original video games for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis. You start out in civilian mode, later gain the ability to morph into your Ranger form, fight the boss, and then have a Megazord battle. Series Continuity Error: While the game is based on Mighty Morphin, the version of the theme used when forming the Megazord's human form is the Samurai/Megaforce cover, due to licensing issues. Rather strange since the game otherwise uses original rock covers of the original theme. The Rangers' morphing pose has both hands grip the top of the morpher, rather than having one hand grip the handle behind the morpher and the other on top with their fingers splayed out. Both the Green and White Rangers use the Blade Blaster as their ranged attack, when neither is supposed to use one. The Green Ranger stole one during a fight, but immediately threw it back at the Rangers, and American footage gave him one in some scenes, but he's not normally supposed to use one. The White Ranger, meanwhile, is supposed to use Saba to fire lasers, by turning the weapon upside down and shooting beams out of the tiger head. |
