Monster Dash is a 2010 iOS game created by Halfbrick Studios, later released on Android. The game also serves as a prequel to one of Halfbrick's previous games, Age of Zombies, thus being the second in the Barry Steakfries series. The player joins Barry, as he's teleported to another universe full of monsters. Now, he must complete goals, blast through monsters, and travel as far as he can.The game has went through three notably different versions: 2010 - The original, and the simpliest version. In 2023, the game was reverted back to this version and became a part of Halfbrick+ subscription service. 2014 - A revamped version by Six Foot Kid. Added missions, new soundtrack and leveling system, with old version being revamped into an Arcade mode. 2020 - Also known as Back From The Dead, a remaster by Krome Studios. Featured overhauled graphics in style of Battle Racing Stars, new dialogue for Barry and costumes. Also introduced Betty Beefpies to the series. For simplicity, different versions are referred to by their years of release.

Martial Arts Headband: Equipping Fruit Ninja Blade would give Barry a headband and gi. 2020's overhaul made it into a separate "Ninja" outfit and allowed to use with any weapon, likewise allowing to equip any other costume with the Blade.

Rule of Cool: The Bad As Hog comes with a shotgun which you can shoot while riding. While redundant as the bike already kills any enemy in its path, it's still awesome.note The most likely reason for this inclusion is the game's two-button control scheme. Since Hog's mechanics leave the action button with nothing to do, the shotgun was added in to fill the empty spot.

Double Jump: Fruit Ninja Blade allows you to do this. Using the attack button in mid-air gives Barry small aerial boost. It can and will save you from falling into Bottomless Pits, Spikes of Doom and some of the monsters immune to a Goomba Stomp. More straightforward way of double jumping was added in Halloween update for 2020, which also means players can do triple jumps with the aforementioned blade.

Company Cross References: Fruit Ninja Blade is the sword from Fruit Ninja, another Halfbrick game. In 2020, Yeti Heights features a parody of Mount Rushmore with presidents' faces being replaced by Barry, Sensei, Dan, and The King. Offline leaderboards in the 2023 version are populated with the names of various characters from Halfbrick games (and some developers), including various ninjas from Fruit Ninja, Rip, and Rory. The list also includes Frank, Pierre, and Caroline — characters from Yes, Chef! and Top Farm, which were published by Halfbrick in mid-2010s.

Crossover: With Ghostbusters. 2014 featured Peter Venkman as playable character, Slimer as new enemy, New York City background and Proton Pack. Unfortunately, it was completely removed in 2017, with Proton Pack being replaced with Rainbow Cheeks. Crossover eventually returned in 2021, which brought back the Proton Pack (now renamed to "Particle Thrower"), added even more locations, enemies, new costumes and Slime Blower weapon.
