Power Rangers Dino Thunder is a series of games published by THQ for the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Game Boy Advance, based on the counterpart season in the Power Rangers franchise. All three games were released in September 2004.Developed by Pacific Coast Power & Light (who would eventually rename themselves Locomotive Games before shuttering), the GameCube and PS2 versions are 3D Collect-a-thon Platformers where you control the Bio Zords as you go around collecting trinkets in order to stop Mesogog's various schemes. By completing various side missions, you can also unlock the ability to play as the main Zords from Power Rangers Wild Force and Power Rangers Ninja Storm as well. The GBA version was developed by Natsume, who had been developing the past few portable titles in the franchise. Once again, it's a side-scrolling Beat 'em Up, but this time there are additional missions to complete, such as saving frozen people. The Black Ranger has his own side missions where he must solve puzzles put forth by the evil White Ranger in order to unlock various auxiliary Bio Zords for the Rangers to use with their Megazord. |

comment |
Mythology Gag: Likely unintentional, but the White Ranger doesn't become a good guy until right before the final level. While the White Ranger joined the Power Rangers relatively early, he doesn't turn good in Abaranger until near the end of the series, therefore making this game technically more accurate to the Sentai original. |

Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: The Tricera, Navy Beetle, and Black Bison Zords are extremely heavy and, unlike the other bipedal Zords or Wild Zords, have super tiny little legs. Thus, they are completely unable to jump. They makes up for it by having brute strength and the ability to ram into things. |
