Another video game tie-in for the film of the same name, for the Sega Genesis. Like the PlayStation and Sega Saturn version, it was also developed by Appaloosa Interactive and released in 1997. Players assume the role of a nameless hunter (but at least going by his sprite he may be based off of Roland Tembo from the movie) contracted to capture dinosaurs and conduct other missions on Isla Sorna, whilst also fighting off an army of rival hunters. The protagonist can uncover a veritable arsenal of weaponry (both lethal and non-lethal) to take on the dinosaur and human threats and also commandeer vehicles such as SUVs and hovercraft to negotiate the island. Most of the game is depicted in Top-Down View, but there are also novel pseudo-3D sequences involving some sort of vehicular chase which pushed the system to the limit in its twilight years. The game can be played with a friend in Co-Op Multiplayer or in a competitive deathmatch-style modenote Unlock this one using the password CIVILWAR.

Co-Op Multiplayer: Two players can tackle the game's challenges by working together. This leads to the interesting setup where one can drive a vehicle and the other can ride shotgun.

Land Mine Goes "Click!": Averted, because these are classical video-gamey mines with very obvious tell-tale red lights. Grenades or other explosives must be used to safely clear them so that the player can traverse the area they are planted upon.

Great White Hunter: The player character is deployed to capture whatever dinosaurs he can, kill the (aggressive) ones he can't, and to repel the efforts of the rival faction to do the same.

Trick Bomb: The Gas Bomb Thrower can knock foes out and is useful in that it can be thrown behind you while you're being chased, unlike the grenade. It can also be used to extinguish fires.

Car Chase Shoot-Out: One of the special 3D missions uses a motorcycle variation on the trope, with the player also having to contend with stampeding raptors.

Exploding Barrels: There are many of these (coloured brown), but they are at times mixed in with identical barrels which don't explode on destruction but contain ammo and health crates instead. So it's worth always carefully destroying them at a distance, to avoid getting hurt, and with a controlled trigger finger to protect the possible valuable contents.

One-Man Army: Or Two Man Army if in co-op mode. The player characters will most assuredly mow down a ton of enemy hunters and dinosaurs (in the latter case, both lethally and non-lethally).

Corporate Warfare: It's never stated which entities have hired the two opposing factions of bounty hunters (the player character's contact is simply referred to as "HQ"), but given the plots of the two works the game is based on (the novel pits an independent group of researchers but who have former ties with InGen against marauders working for BioSyn, while the movie has two different factions of InGen in opposition, it stands to reason that they are probably meant to be InGen vs BioSyn which would make this trope applicable.

Bottomless Magazines: Several of the default weapons, including the shotgun, tranquiliser and taser can be used indefinitely. Averted with the others; the assault rifle has a maximum capacity of 5 bursts and each pull of the trigger fires off a discrete burst. Likewise, the gas bombs, grenades and missiles must be all replenished with ammo crates.

Universal Driver's License: The hunter player characters are capable of operating a variety of off-road and marine vehicles (which makes sense given the geography of the Isla Sorna environment), including a dirtbike, an jeep, a hovercraft (which notably looks just like an aquatic version of the former vehicle), a river raft, a large transport truck and finally a helicopter.

Small Taxonomy Pools: Only six dinosaurs make the cut for this game: Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus and Troodon. The first five are of course paleontological celebrities (in no small part due to the parent franchise this game is a part of), while this may well be the first appearance of the latter in a video game. Justified due to the limitations of the hardware, which would make something gigantic like Brachiosaurus implausible to do justice to (albeit the T-Rex is given considerable scale in both the graphical viewpoints it appears in).
