Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_1'); })Veszteség [ ˈvɛstɛʃeːɡ] (English pronunciation: "vast-uh-sheeg") is a singleplayer ROBLOX game created by Xij QL, an alt account of M U G E N on March 23rd, 2017. Veszteség is well-known for presenting a series of words among many languages upon death, especially Japanese, Mugen's home language. It all starts with the name of the game, as it is a word that belongs to the Hungarian language and, when translated to English, means "Loss". Although the changes have become progressively more unnoticeable, it appears that the game gets constantly updated. As popular as it might sound in first glance, the game actually has less than a million visits. This can be supported by the fact that the amount of people playing. In the game, the player controls Mirror Man, an R6 modeled character whose animations are reminiscent of the old types from the early years of ROBLOX. The game does not persuade the player to follow any goal in specific. After all, the game has several endings. However, as Mirror Man, the player must roll a sphere named Jesu wherever intended to obtain progress. Want to move faster? Well, you can't run, so get up on Jesu and start to roll. Want to get a badge? Get up on one (or more) Jesu(s) and roll them onto a platform.Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_2'); })The lore of the game is not explicitly shown to the player, encouraging it to create speculations about whatever is going on in the universe of Veszteség. It clearly involves, however, themes related to religion including sacrifices and rituals. One of the things that most compliment the lore of the game is the presence of what is called "fates", which are variants of the original game progress. The fates vary a lot from one another and can add a lot of different stuff, from adding small details like changing the shape or skin of the character Jesu to performing the addition of new, unique characters into the game such as Sun Sorb (who has been extracted from the game's current state due to copyright claims and trademark reasons) or Jäkel.Aesthetic wise, Veszteség retraces back to the old days with the addition of a classic-like skybox, the aforementioned walking animations, and some sound effects. In terms of gameplay, the game is certainly not destined for those who desire to get to a certain goal quickly, for It is a game that requires patience and caution, but mostly patience. The very start of the game serves as a method of testing the player's patience, as it requires the player to roll Jesu onto certain points and avoid getting killed by Israel - the first antagonist to be faced in the game -. The like-dislike ratio in the platform is very controversial, most likely due to the slow-paced style of the game and the fact that it doesn't offer an explicit tutorial to the player. The game spawns any player in The Graveyard, with no fates changing the spawn location, without any clue of what needs to be done (although interpretation might help a lot).Advertisement:propertag.cmd.push(function() { proper_display('tvtropes_mobile_ad_3'); })Anyhow, Veszteség is a very well done game and a totally worth piece of art to be taken a look at. Aside from its weird and symbolistic nature, Veszteség also provides some laughs to the player with the addition of memes, so why not check it out here?

Multiple Endings: There are at least several endings, though you're going to have to experiment a bit if you want to get a certain ending.
