The Sequel Series of Galaxy Angel. It features a new cast of Angels in the Rune Angel Wing that are related in some way to the previous members of the Angel Wing.Four years have passed since the events of Eternal Lovers. The Transbaal Empire and the EDEN civilization had overthrown Gern's tyrannical rule over the Val-Fasq and peace had finally come after the Chrono Quake Bomb was stopped. Noa's diligent analysis of the Another Space to save Tact and his chosen Angel revealed another piece of Lost Technology close to Juno and the ensuing investigation revealed the mechanism to be a gateway into another dimension. This dimension came to be known as ABSOLUTE and the technology that led to it were called Chrono Gates. Within ABSOLUTE were countless other Chrono Gates all leading to other parallel universes and at the center of ABSOLUTE was a moon-like facility, the Central Globe, that could activate the Chrono Gates outside. The Transbaal Empire's home universe is dubbed EDEN and Milfeulle was found to be able to activate these technologies from the Master Unit control room deep within the Central Globe and thus a new campaign to explore other parallel universes was undertaken. The EDEN universe eventually comes into contact with the NEUE universe and began an exchange of technologies starting from its capital planet of Seldar. Tact leads a new survey mission across NEUE on board a brand new carrier, the Luxiole, and the discovery of Emblem Frames on the different worlds of the NEUE universe calls for suitable pilots to be found. With the disbanding of the Moon Angel Wing, the initial founding of the successors, the Rune Angel Wing, establishes four members and the most recent discovery of a fifth and unique Emblem Frame calls for an unprecedented inclusion of a male member to the unit. Kazuya Shiranami, a talented young pâtissière finds himself whisked away from his job and undergoes six-months of grueling under Forte. Kazuya finds himself before the precipice of his new life before things go awry almost a day after he arrives.A distress call from Milfeulle from ABSOLUTE alerts Tact that something has gone wrong and a decision to return to the planet of Seldar to assist in the matter has him learn that a coup has overtaken the capital with none other than Forte leading it. Tact is beaten back against the rebel fleet and he leads the new Angel Wing to fight back, while also appointing Kazuya to become the acting squad-leader of the Rune Angel Wing. The games in this series are Galaxy Angel II: Zettai Ryouiki no Tobiranote The Gate to ABSOLUTE, Galaxy Angel II: Mugen Kairou no Kaginote The Key to the Infinite Corridor, and Galaxy Angel II: Eigou Kaiki no Tokinote The Eternal Recurrence of Time.It has a manga series based on Galaxy Angel II: Zettai Ryouiki no Tobira and an anime series named Galaxy Angel Rune.

Title Drop: Zettai Ryoiki no Tobira in a translated naming convention sense as the hub-dimension of ABSOLUTE is what zettai ryoiki roughty translates to. The Chrono Gates that lead to ABSOLUTE also are mentioned a lot and are key plot points. Mugen Kairo no Kagi gets dropped frequently as it is the mcguffin of the game. Eigou Kaiki no Toki only once at the very end.

Big First Choice: Like the previous trilogy, the games lack any kind of Old Save Bonus feature, so Mugen Kairou no Kagi and Eigou Kaiki no Toki start out with the player choosing who is Kazuya's love interest among the Rune Angels. To a lesser extent, there's also the choice of who is Tact's wife among the original Moon Angels, although this one doesn't affect story events as much except for a few specific instances.

In Medias Res: Eigou Kaiki no Toki starts out with Kazuya entering the Bridge, where he finds Tapio and the Bridge hands busy at work. Coco explains that the ship has sensed a large energy signature being detected near them. An explosion is felt around the ship and one of the operators receives damage reports from the Third Floor. Kazuya runs off immediately as the third floor are the Living quarters. Kazuya will run to his chosen Angel’s room (at the player's choice), finding it in complete ruin and his Angel nowhere in sight. The game catches up to this point at the end of Chapter 9.

Sickeningly Sweethearts: Tact and Ranpha's reunion scene have them exclaiming "Darling" and "Honey" at the top of their lungs on the bridge of the Luxiole. If Kazuya visits the bridge again in the chapter's free roam segment, Ranpha is seen sitting on Tact's lap exchanging cheesy romance dialogue that makes Kazuya gag while Coco just laughs it off, having gotten used to this scene.

Sequel Escalation

comment
Sequel Escalation: There's several escalations from the first trilogy. Bumping up the total Angel Wing member count from 6 to 8. Having the two successive sequels of the trilogy's first game be just as long, maybe even longer, than the original. Not one but two opening theme songs per game. Multiple special ending songs. Even more cast member interaction. Compared to what Eigou Kaiki's stakes are, the climactic battle of Eternal Lovers to stop a bomb that could spell the doom of the technology that powers what we know of civilization looks like a walk in the park. By Natsume's addition, the first chapter of Eigou Kaiki one ups the final fights in Zettai Ryoiki with 11 Angels to 12.

The Power of Love: Invoked by Tact in the first videogame. Tact gives Kazuya and Kazuya's chosen date a free pass to a normally-pricey luxury health resort/beach spa precisely because he's learned from firsthand experience how powerful an Angel in love is, so he has an ulterior motive (as well as the caring motive) to give Kazuya a pass that can help him and his chosen Angel become closer. Kazuya can also employ the Chitose strategy (he ends up in a Cross Dresser storyline for a bit if he does) to enable it for Natsume.

100% Completion: Like the predecessor series, clearing the routes alone will not yield all of the CG for a given character as free roam segments still reward players with certain CGs. Zettai Ryoiki has it so that the Moon Angel Wing reuniting with Tact scenes could be missed if the player loads the game at the route selection point for Kazuya in Chapter 5 without loading back the save from Chapter 1 to select who Tact ended up with. While not counting for completing the Gallery Mode of CGs, there's a lot of missable dialogue in general given how the game has voiced lines for even when characters aren't selectable in the free roam segments.

Passing the Torch: Symbolically occurs in Zettai Ryoiki no Tobira as the disbanded Moon Angel Wing are replaced by the Rune Angel Wing as the new fighting force. Happens more literally in Eigou Kaiki no Toki. When the Will send a singularity to consume Val Rundal, the Val-Fasq homeworld that was demilitarized since the end of Eternal Lovers, Noa determines that a significant force was required to counteract it and it demanded either the Luxiole and the Emblem Frames it held or the Elsior's. Tact and the Moon Angel Wing make the conscious decision to sacrifice their flagship and their Emblem Frames to save the homeworld of their former enemy, with Kazuya voicing his opposition. With their signature crafts gone, the Rune Angel Wing officially succeed them.

Balance of Power: Prior to the Chrono Quake, the triad of the planets of Seldar, Magiic and Pico maintained a military balance by each one having a different weapon to rely on, having a Rock–Paper–Scissors-like deadlock among each other. Seldar's Anti-Magic swords could nullify any spell, but were useless against nanotechnology, while Magiic's spells greatly affected Pico's nanomachines.

BFG: The Luxiole, as successor to the Elsior, now carries the Dual Chrono Break Cannon. Rico's Cross Caliber has two small cannons that function together as her Hyper Weapon, akin to how her sister's Lucky Star had one with the same purpose. Even the names are similar; while Lucky Star had the Hyper Cannon, Cross Caliber has the Hyper Blaster. Parfait and Sorbet's vessels have cannons in their boss fight have barrels as large as the Luxiole itself. In the final mission of Eigou Kaiki no Toki, the six Ripsior ships commanded by the Moon Angels are each equipped with the Chrono Break Cluster (essentially a smaller version of the Elsior's Chrono Break Cannon).

The Battlestar: The Luxiole was built by Noa from the ground up as a superior Elsior that not only houses the NEUE universe's Emblem Frames but also comes with a lot of civilian comfort features.

After two whole games of being useless, the advanced Seldar fleet arrives to back the Luxiole up in their fight against a resurrected Roselle. Kazuya himself gets his moment to shine as the hero near the end of Eigou Kaiki no Toki when his chosen Angel is rendered unable to fight after being kidnapped by a resurrected and posessed Roselle. He personally takes to the field on the updated model of the Holy Blood Kai to fight alongside the other Angels.

Great Offscreen War: The setting mentions in multiple points how the planet of Seldar and Magiic waged war with each other before Seldar came out victorious and established itself as the capital planet of its known galactic civilization.

Running Gag
Galaxy Angel II (Visual Novel) / int_f9f2c33
comment
Running Gag: Rico's pathological reflex for throwing men over her shoulder. Tact invokes this the most. This aspect of her character however becomes more useful as the series progresses and it functionally allows Rico to not only protect herself but also do some literal heavy lifting when required. Lily's eccentrism has a lot of points to be brought up but one that occurs the most is her tendency to cry a lot during emotional moments. On two occasions her tears obscure her vision and she bumps into a wall. By the third game, Nano has become as snarky and conniving as Anise has. Given Anise saved her life early in the first game, along with Nano calling Anise "Boss" as a result... Kahlua's lackadaisical and carefree reaction that usually flow in the opposite direction compared to the rest of the team. Anise and her hasty attitude getting her into trouble, particularly with Mint who is quick to remind her of her debt. Also applies to her tendency to misremember names. Kazuya's own gag involves his utter fear of Steline, the engineer.

The Power of Friendship: Invoked during Kazuya's scenario setting-up for Natsume route in the bonus Mugen Kairo Disc where instead of Kazuya and his chosen Angel's love powering the Chrono Gate to ABSOLUTE, it is the combined comradery of the Rune Angels that power it instead.

Sidekick Graduations Stick: Zettai Ryoiki no Tobira's timeline continuity had Tact and Coco move to the newly commissioned Luxiole while Lester and Almo stayed on the Elsior. When Tact is promoted to a higher position as a desk job, command of the Luxiole is given to Coco and she remains the commander of the Luxiole hence. While it takes a bit of development time, Coco eventually becomes a respectable leader in her own right, proving Tact's hunch right that she had the potential all along. She even has her own Lester equivalent as her second in command/radar technician and budding romantic interest in Tapio Ca.
