Angelica is a content creator on YouTube. Although the uploads on her account are simply labelled as ASMR videos, all it takes is one viewing to realize that's not what they actually are. A succinct description would be that they are comedy skits performed in a constantly soft-spoken manner that parodies actual ASMR. That said, she makes her fair share of more straight-forward, relaxing ASMR videos too.As of 2023, her channel has accumulated over 160 million views. Her most popular video (at more than 5 million views) is "1300s A.D. ASMR~ Nun Takes Care of You In Bed {You Have the Plague}", which is Exactly What It Says on the Tin.If you haven't figured out by now, her content thrives on Surreal Humor.In 2020, she also published a novel, The Light Was Good, under the name "Angelica Labyrinth".On July 8, 2023, Angelica completely changed her online presence to resemble the "tradwife" aesthetic seen among conservative christian influencers, began posting strange and often homophobic screeds on instagram and tiktok that have since been taken down, and privated many of her videos with overtly left-leaning themes. Whether this is itself a parody is yet to be seen, but has seemed less and less likely as time has gone on, since it has been reflected in her second channel (made for more personal videos and video essays), where she has posted videos related to this, and she has kept it up even though her subscriber count has steadily gone down during this new phase. | |
