Tomotasauce is the creator of Amphibia Abridged and The Owl House Abridged, two abridged series that have the unique quirk of dividing episodes up into several smaller videos each, which are then Gag Dubbed. He has also announced that a Hazbin Hotel abridged series is in the works as well.

No Celebrities Were Harmed: Tomota is not averse to using celebrity impressions for some characters' voices. Mr. Boonchuy talks like Elvis Presley. The Frobos talk like Jerry Lewis. Both the Owl Beast and the hologram projectors in Andrias' castle talk like Ed Wynn. Principal Murphy sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Tiny Nose sounds like Bobcat Goldthwait.

Card-Carrying Villain: In stark contrast to canon, Belos is quite open about being evil. Interestingly, the scene where he originally says "I'll do anything to save humanity from evil" is dubbed over to say "I'll do anything for a bit of online clout," right after giving a speech about how he's irredeemably evil.

Breaking the Fourth Wall: Hop Pop notices when Anne turns the background into an image of ramen and asks how she did it. Upon meeting Mother Olm, everyone notices that her speech is somehow always accompanied by choir singing; not even she has any idea where the sound is coming from. Though she can tell it to shut up. Sprig sees the flashbacks about his and Anne's previous encounter with Tritonio, and questions if anyone else can see them. When Anne admits that Darcy's impression of her voice is pretty spot-on, Darcy points out that they're both voiced by the same person. Hop Pop then insists that they stop breaking the fourth wall.

Scatterbrained Senior: Andrias' father Aldrich is clearly a bit senile, forgetting several times that he has a son, and needs Andrias to remind him that Donald and Goofy are fictional. Even after getting uploaded into the Core, he falls asleep while talking to Andrias. On the other hand, he decided that Amphibia's interdimensional pursuits should turn from peaceful trading to violent genocide, solely because he thinks that's easier.

Aldrich states that, originally, the Newtopian royal family did genuinely trade with other dimensions in the form of putting on a show for them in exchange for resources, but the Core accidentally pushed a button to instead destroy one, leading Aldrich to realize that it was much easier and more reliable to just use their military power to steal the resources.

While the Core trapped Marcy in a Lotus-Eater Machine unwillingly and completely hijacked her body, here Darcy is somewhat more symbiotic, as Marcy herself can speak freely, and she willingly engaged in the Lotus-Eater Machine, which itself is less nefarious; while it was her ideal world in canon, here she just gets to play VR games while the Core controls her real body. However, the Core is acting as The Corruptor to Marcy, asking her at the end of the Christmas episode if she wants to join them in their dimensional conquest. At the very least, they consider her smart enough to join them. The Core is also more openly annoyed and even disturbed my Andrias' more heinous actions, such as pointing out how quick Andrias was to assume that they were considering killing the Calamity Trio. In "False Friend", Marcy calls out that they're just as bad as Andrias, shutting her away without giving her a choice, while the Core (through the avatar of Aldric) tries to protest that they're really trying to help, but that her friends are an issue, ultimately zigzagging this.

Spotlight-Stealing Squad: Discussed; one video points out that the Frobos, Coven guards, and other characters with no visible lips get lots of screentime because they don't have to deal with Lip Lock issues, so it's easier for Tomota to write lines for them.

Adaptational Nice Guy: Slightly, but while Cloakbot was completely devoted to killing off Anne at Andrias' command, Gecoid is shocked that he not only killed Marcy, but wants Anne dead too. He still goes along with it, though.

Cannot Tell Fiction from Reality: King Aldrich wants to hang out with his friends Donald and Goofy, and Andrias has to remind him that those are fictional Disney characters. Violent Glaswegian: General Yunan is just as violence-prone as ever here, and is given a Scottish brogue to boot.

Never Say "Die": Inverted, as despite Marcy surviving Andrias' backstab thanks to Newtopia's healing technology, everybody refers to said backstab as Andrias killing Marcy. She's even conscious enough to talk to and make fun of Andrias with the Core.

Murder Is the Best Solution: Parodied; Andrias tells the Core that they shouldn't murder the human girls just yet, which creeps out the Core as nobody had even brought up killing them before now.

Running Gag: Kikimora tells people who anger her that they're "on the list"; she's aiming for an Implied Death Threat, but instead just confuses whoever she's threatening. Multiple characters point out that Lilith clearly doesn't have any friends. Hunter making "deez nuts" jokes. On at least one occasion, he's on the receiving end of the jokes as well.
