As a Sequel Series to the original Ninjago, there will be various spoilers related to the original series that will be unmarked. You Have Been Warned.Ninjago: Dragons Rising is the second series of LEGO's Ninjago franchise, set as a Sequel Series to the original after it ended with its fifteenth season in 2022.After an event called The Merge combined the various Realms into one single world, the Ninja have gone missing as a result of the incident. While the citizens of the new world have managed to rebuild, in particular, an area called The Crossroads being a place for many survivors of the Merge to live in, life isn't exactly perfect as an organization called the Claws of the Imperium seek out to hunt down dragons to use their power to rule over the merged world. However, when two teenagers from separate worlds, Arin and Sora, are caught up in the villains' plans and find a young dragon Riyu, they also come face to face with the legendary Green Ninja himself, Lloyd, who intends on training the two as a new generation of heroes to help protect this new world and uncover the mystery of the Merge as well.The first half of the series' first season aired on June 1st, 2023 on Netflix, with the second half released on October 12, the mini-series, The Elemental Mechs were released on January 6, 9, and 12, 2024 respectively, and the first half of the second season aired on April 4. | |
