WARNING!: For any tropes related to the original Sonic.EXE All-Stars and VS SoniKiller on this page, the aforementioned character (now dubbed "Toxinfect") is a Walking Spoiler for those games, so it's impossible to talk about him without ruining the experience for those who haven't played either game. As such, all spoilers for those folders, but not for Reclassified or the newer Sonic.EXE All-Stars games, have been switched off. You Have Been Warned!Sonic Reclassified is a fangame developed by NotSoDevy, Pico Digital Studios and CrystalChaos. It is a fangame related to Sonic.exe and themed around Sonic Origins, though with several changes to the formula to give it a fresh new coat of paint. This is also a complete remake of Devy's original project, Sonic.EXE All-Stars (also under the name "SonicAllStars.exe"), which was made as a Compilation Rerelease of the original three Sonic.EXE games with some modifications here and there. It was set to receive a sequel focusing on three different games and a Greater-Scope Villain as well before it got cancelled.Since this point, direct ownership of the original All-Stars content has been handed down to SonicFan50002 and PrimalKoopaPictures of the GoldCodeX development team, which has led to plans for further remakes of the original two games split into four separate timelines of events; the "Remake Timeline", the "Original Timeline" (returning to focus on the classic story before going further), the "Rebooted Timeline" and the "Remastered Timeline".Later on, Reclassified got split up into two separate projects under the same namesake; Sonic Reclassified: EXE Origins, which is the game how Devy originally intended it to be, and Sonic Reclassified: Genesis' Awakening, which uses the expanded lore touched upon prior.Below are download links to both Reclassified and content from the original Sonic.EXE All-Stars package in its hayday, alongside all official retakes.Any and all tropes related to these past games and upcoming retakes of them, but not for Sonic Mania-styled remaster, Hedgehog's Bloody Collection, will be covered on this page for convenience. Any and all tropes related to that game should be covered in its own article. An official sprite series made by Primal, dubbed Sonic.EXE All-Stars: The Sprite Series, is available to watch on YouTube. As stated in one of the page's posts, this is Not to Be Confused with Sonic.exe Reclassified, a Friday Night Funkin' mod that has no relation to this fangame. The All-Stars games listed on this page are also not to be confused with any of the imitators that spawned from the original's wide appeal. To open all folders, the control has been placed here for your convenience.

Bloodless Carnage: Downplayed. Surprisingly for a Sonic.EXE game, there's not a single critter corpse in sight in any of the levels, invoking Nothing Is Scarier as to what happened to them. The deaths of the characters still do involve blood, however.

Redemption Quest: Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2 for SonicClone/Sonic. After going through a Curbstomp Battle with Toxinfect and being forced to reflect on his harsh actions, he undergoes a Heel–Face Turn and opts to help other targets survive instead of killing them. Boss Battle: There are none for the base game, but there were some planned for the sequel and the DLC. For Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2, the Cliffhanger of the original game was planned to be resolved with a fight between Sonic and SonicClone right where the secret ending left off, with a Final Boss fight also planned out for later. For The Lost Game, Nickbear fights off Sally.EXE in Sandopolis Zone in order to progress to victory.

Adaptation Expansion | |
Sonic Reclassified (Video Game) / int_23473ae7 | comment |
Adaptation Expansion: In addition, these remakes expand on the originally seen content in its own ways. Sonic Reclassified Knuckles's route expands over three levels, leading up to a Boss Battle that can actually be won. Sonic.EXE All-Stars 1 and 2 Amy's "Not Perfect" level is longer and the Special Stage does not lead to immediate death upon completion. Sally gains two extra levels to go through before "Act 9". Sonic.EXE All-Stars Remasters All three of the major remasters plan to add in the secret levels from Sonic.EXE Version 7 again, with Refined Edition planning to also include the secret levels from the official Sonic.EXE remake.

Adaptation Deviation | |
Sonic Reclassified (Video Game) / int_23a1e2a9 | comment |
Adaptation Deviation: Quite a lot changes between these compilations compared to the original games. The Sonic.EXEs between the games are each Named by the Adaptation. All-Stars Sonic.EXE is dubbed SonicClone, also named ManiX in Hedgehog's Bloody Collection. Reclassified Sonic.EXE is named MegaDrivX. Aside from Sonic.EXE All-Stars and Sonic.EXE All-Stars Remake, absolutely nothing is the same for the Sally.EXE and Rouge.EXE remasters, each featuring completely original content to deviate from the former's infamous plagiarism. However, for Refined Edition, there will be the option to pick between the original levels and SonicFan50002's "Done Right" counterparts. The Silver.EXE remake in Sonic.EXE All-Stars 2 wouldn't have included any of the original levels, instead going in the direction of those seen in Sally.EXE: The Creepypasta Remake and Oldum77's take on Tikal.EXE. Sonic Reclassified completely throws out the majority of the original levels, only referring to them from time-to-time, in favour of completely original routes for the cast. None of the original secret levels are present at all in either Sonic.EXE All-Stars or Sonic Reclassified, though the remasters aim to add them back in. Between the games, there's a lot more platforming involved and much less "hold right to lose" logic going on.

Related in the Adaptation: In most fanworks, Sonic has little to no connection to the villains of the Sonic.EXE works, often either being a victim or instead being subject to Demonic Possession of some kind. Easter Egg: In Hide & Seek, backtracking once the chase begins and jumping up will cause SonicClone to vanish and restore Tails to full strength, necessary to access the two Easter Eggs present in this level.note Both of these are set to receive updates in the next update to Sonic.EXE All-Stars Going all the way to the right after SonicClone is gone will give you a message congratulating you for wasting your time walking in a straight line. Walking off-screen from there will trigger a Goal Post bug prominent in Sonic Worlds before restarting the level. Flying to the top of the level will show one of the creepy mushrooms from I HATE YOU, and touching it will close the game, linking you to the "Super Mario Canyon" YouTube video.

Letting the Air out of the Band: At several points in Sonic.EXE All-Stars, this happens to invoke a sense of dread. The Hill Act 1 theme slows to a crawl once Tails reaches the beginning again and finds "Sonic" waiting there. The "Carnival Night" music also does this after Cream's crashed into the spikes. Sonic Reclassified (Video Game) / int_6ec989d8 | comment |
Guide Dang It!: The black rings and dark red rings found in the game are pretty hard to come by, especially with little to no hints given in advance. To find black rings, one must find a spot in a character's first level where they hear a chime jingle, then enter a code assigned to each spot. After that, they have around a minute to track down the black ring in a secret level before it's lights out. The dark red rings are more difficult to find, since they require backtracking at key moments in "You Can't Run", "Kind and Fair" and "Final Hill", which will end up resulting in an altered death for those collecting it.

Sonic Reclassified (Video Game) / int_71748a39 | comment |
Named by the Adaptation: Instead of being called "Earth" or "Mobius", the world seen in Sonic Reclassified is dubbed "Gaia", while the counterpart of the Sol Dimension is named "Terra". In this continuity, Sonic's proper name is Sonny Hedgehog, based on an early draft of the Sonic Bible. The Hidden Palace Zone of Sonic 3 & Knuckles is instead dubbed Emerald Palace Zone in-game to avoid mixing it up with its Sonic the Hedgehog 2 counterpart that makes an appearance. While the gemstone ruin level in Sonic Level Creator (PlaySEGA) has no official name, in Reclassified, it's dubbed "Gemstone Garden Zone", after the Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart fan-made race track with the level's aesthetics.

Sonic Reclassified (Video Game) / int_ad22fa80 | comment |
Apocalyptic Log: Officially revealed on the Discord server for Reclassified is an event known as the Genesis Wars, which took place 5 centuries prior to the game and revolved around a conflict for the Chaos Emeralds. A resistance group, known as the Chaos Clan, allied together to stop the warlord Genesis from taking the Chaos Emeralds to unleash world domination on Gaia. As this war came to an end, seven Emerald Guardians sealed the Emeralds away to prevent them from being used by evil's clutches again. And while Genesis was ultimately defeated and sealed away, though, the effects of the war remained in West Side Island, which needed rebuilding with a lack of Chaos energy. As of present, the only remaining traces of this war can be traced back to Olympus, now under the name Aquatic Ruin Zone.
