Moonkitti, or Moon for short, is a 30 year old comedy-based YouTuber who makes animated videos primarily focused around the Warrior Cats series, with a few focused on other topics such as Pokémon, Wings of Fire or Puyo Puyo. Most of her videos are short (about 30 seconds to 3 minutes long), with the exception of her two main ongoing series: an animated version of the trollfic StarKitsProphcy, and I Spoil..., in which she recaps the Warriors books in chronological order with a humorous view. She has several series of videos: Various skits done with Limited Animation retelling a scene from the books, often with voice actors from her Patreon server. These usually range from one to three minutes in length. "StoneClan", a fanclan about the titular StoneClan, a clan of cats set in a gorge who eat rocks and get up to shenanigans. What started as Patreon backers doing silly voice lines quickly evolved into an actual plot, albeit still very silly. These range from three to ten minutes long. "Moonkitti Talking Videos", where Moonkitti talks about various topics in Warriors, usually ten to twenty minutes long. "Talking: Cats" and "Mini-Talking" where she details details about a certain cat's life and her thoughts on them. Started as eight minutes long, but her longest goes up to forty minutes in length. Frequent Fiasco, about her Original Characters getting up to nonsense. Often have alliterative titles, such as Frequent Fiasco Floundering. She's also done an animated adaptation of StarKitsProphcy. She has also done several Multi Animator Project parts, and a few music videos.

Adaptational Villainy: The title character in "Redscar". In the original Code of the Clans, Redscar was a well-meaning medicine cat whose worst mistake was not recognizing Brightwhisker had greencough. Broke the Rating Scale: In "I spoil Firestar's Quest for everyone", a 'Faith-In-StarClan-O-Meter' stays above the screen the whole time (presumably from Firestar's POV), and when Firestar thinks about being with Spottedleaf when he dies, it gets so full the red portion drops to the bottom.

Funny Background Event
Moonkitti (Web Animation) / int_26eb6287 | comment |
Funny Background Event: In Starkit's Prophecy episode 5, Stargleam and Mistyfoot saying "imptent" is accompanied by a small picture of an imp in a tent. Also, when indirectly mentioned by Lionblaze in "Jayfeather finds the fourth cat", Hollyleaf shows up in the background, looking around suspiciously. In "Leafpaw Calls", Cinderpelt is seen shifting around a pile of leaves when the video first cuts to Leafpaw. The next time, Cinderpelt is stomping on the pile. The third, Cinderpelt leaves it alone...and it sneaks away. More of a funny foreground event, but in "I Spoil Sunrise" while Hollyleaf and Sorreltail are talking, Honeyfern's body is seen in the corner with a fly buzzing around it.

Adaptational Sexuality: Leafpool in the books is firmly Single-Target Sexuality towards Crowfeather. In Moonkitti's videos she's shown more attraction towards women (notably Mothwing and Spottedleaf), and is only interested in Crowfeather when he's aloof and brooding, quickly losing interest when he starts wooing her.

The Last of These Is Not Like the Others: "Purdy has them all fish from somebody's expensive koi pond. Then he has them all eat Meow Mix. Then he gives them all indigestion." "Swiftpaw is upset. Brightpaw is upset. Thornpaw wants to join the dawn patrol." In "Stoneclan: Unsolicited Voice Acting", two of Barkclaw's kittens keep asking for milk in the strangest terms possible. The third, Poppykit, instead does a series of cute "meows" that sound like they're coming from a real cat. In "Warriorclan", the various "warrior names" the kittypets give themselves include Clawwhistle, Fireface, and Chester.

Blatant Lies: "I spoil Sunset for everyone" ends with Moon claiming Warrior Cats is over while zooming in on Leafpool's stomach. Freeze-Frame Bonus: In "I spoil Tigerstar and Sasha for everyone", when Sasha saves the old man's life, the sprites that Sasha defends him from include a fox, another human, and the classic Bramblekit. "I sort-of spoil Spottedleaf's Heart" is more serious than most other videos of hers, but in a brief moment where Spottedleaf helps Bluestar out of camp, Mosskit has a football and bandana.

Of course, he clears up that his name is Spaceshipfur, a traditional SkyClan name. Also mentioned in "I spoil Rising Storm for everyone" when Cloudpaw has been eating McDonald's every day, "just like Moonkitti.", and in "I spoil The Sight for everyone", the second time it's mentioned that Jaykit is short, "Like his mom, Moonkitti! Moonkitti is the mom." Moonkitti even has an I Spoil sprite in the latter!

Formula-Breaking Episode
Moonkitti (Web Animation) / int_670db7d7 | comment |
Formula-Breaking Episode: Most of Moonkitti's work is comedic in nature, so when she does something serious it tends to stand out. "Once I Had", a music video about Jayfeather, Lionblaze and Dovewing's feelings about losing their powers, is quite serious and sad, and done in a more artful style. "Oops I Did It Again", about Dovewing and Bumblestripe's relationship, is similar and only her second such work. "I sort-of spoil Spottedleaf's Heart" is this for the "I Spoil" series, which is otherwise entirely parodical; said video is a more serious recap of the book while providing information about grooming and child predation due to the topic. Moon even starts out saying "Consider this, instead of any kind of 'I Spoil' video, more of an actual summary of the book." "I Was So Sure" is a Multi-Animator Project part about Jayfeather's grief over losing Briarlight, with full animation as opposed to her usual limited animation. While she would later go on to do other MAP parts, the tone never became quite as somber as her first (with her later parts being for an aesthetic MAP, a crackship MAP, and a MAP to a Backyardigans song). "Bramblestar is Worse" is an hour-long breakdown of Bramblestar and Squirrelflight's relationship and why it's a classic example of an abusive one. Much like "I Sort-of Spoil Spottedleaf's Heart", it pulls no punches in detailing and deconstructing the tactics used by Bramblestar and how downplaying and normalizing his abuse has an impact on people reading it, especially young children who are the target demographic for these books.

Small Role, Big Impact | |
Moonkitti (Web Animation) / int_805deb6e | comment |
Small Role, Big Impact: Mentioned in "Warriors Wiki Update", where she mentioned how her previous video that she made to criticize an element of the wiki ended up causing quite a bit of wiki vandalism, and how her video ended up prompting massive changes to the website to make it more user- and reader-friendly, including simplified histories, official art, and separate tabs for different sections of the character [though at the time of update, these tabs have been changed to subpages]. It may have also helped turn around public opinion on Dovewing; in the early days of the fandom since her first appearance, she had received a disproportionate amount of hate from fans for coming off as “whiny,” a Mary Sue, or a poor replacement for Hollyleaf. Dovewing is one of Moon’s favorite characters, and it wasn’t until after the Warriors Wiki eye color wars (the admins insisted that her eyes were blue although Moon, among others, presented several pieces of evidence depicting her eyes as canonically green, leading them to lock Dovewing’s wiki page and block anyone who disagreed with them) that she started getting portrayed in a more positive light compared to before. Happened again after she released "Bramblestar is Worse", when her video deconstructing Bramblestar's treatment of Squirrelflight ended up causing quite a bit of discourse to spring up and even lead to Moonkitti receiving harassment for months over her video.

Vicky initially intended for Briarpaw to be disabled and killed by the falling tree, but as she was writing the plot out her cousin was paralyzed from the neck down in an accident, and was left close to death and bedridden for weeks. "I Was So Sure" is a Multi-Animator Project part about Jayfeather's grief over losing Briarlight, with full animation as opposed to her usual limited animation. While she would later go on to do other MAP parts, the tone never became quite as somber as her first (with her later parts being for an aesthetic MAP, a crackship MAP, and a MAP to a Backyardigans song).

Double Standard: Frequently pointed out by Moonkitti, especially the sexism inherent in Warrior Cats- namely how there are never more than two female leaders at a time, women in positions of power are disproportionately punished for trying to balance their responsibilities to their families with their responsibilities to the clan, and how female characters are often ignored or sidelined for the sake of their male counterparts. Name-dropped in "Double Standard", where Firestar possessing Rootspring (albeit willingly) is treated as cool and heroic despite Ashfur having done the exact same thing for four books.

In "I spoil Into the Wild for everyone", Brokenstar claims to have killed, in addition to Raggedstar and the kittens, Mufasa. In her response to the article the Warriors Website put out about Frecklewish, she goes on multiple unscripted rants about how infuriating the article is, how it blames Frecklewish for doing the right thing in an impossible situation, and how the phrasing of the article implies that in an emergency situation, an untrained person staying away from the danger implicates them in any damage done. Notably, she's sick as she's recording and editing the video, and she admits that she isn't counting it as one of her normal uploads, but the normally upbeat and goofy Moonkitti gets about as angry as she ever gets in her thorough takedown of the absolute nonsense in the article.

Moonkitti (Web Animation) / int_ead9bc9 | comment |
Dog Stereotype: "Warrior Cats as Dogs" averts this for the most part. The heroic Tallstar is a Doberman, Needletail is a Pit Bull (with Moon mentioning "she's actually much more trustworthy than anybody gave her credit for"), and Gray Wing is a Chihuahua.

Creepy Child: Shadowkit in "Tigerheart finds Dovewing". Only just born, and he has a raspy voice saying "Thank you for gifting me with a name, sucklemother." Running Gag: Within Starkit's Prophecy, anytime 'looked' is misspelled as 'locked', it's taken literally and the character opens and closes a padlock. In "Warrior Cats as Smash Bros Mains", anytime a character from Dawn of the Clans is mentioned, their name is suffixed with the phrase "you know, from Dawn of the Clans" in a silly voice. In "I Spoil Skyclan's Destiny", whenever Sharpclaw or any of the warriors is being obstinate: 'Oh no!' thinks Leafstar, helplessly.
